Hello out there and Happy Spring from Songs of Love!

For this edition of our blog I’d like to introduce one of our sweetest songwriters, Marla Lewis.

Hello Marla!

Marla is a New York based artist and educator and comes from a musical family. She has been playing music since she was 3 years old and enjoys a wide variety of musical genres. Amongst her top inspirations are The Beatles, Joni Mitchell, and Ella Fitzgerald.

Marla has been with Songs of Love for the past 5 years and has made 51 songs for us so far. Wow! Thank you Marla! She heard about us from her friend, master chocolate chip cookie maker, and fellow Songs of Love songwriter, Dave Kinnion.

Marla is especially great at making pop music, folk tunes and can add a great “world music” flare to just about any tune. In fact, her favorite Song of Love that she has made is one of her most recent songs, a bossa nova inspired number called “Espero que si” for a child named Rafael Rios. Check it out on Spotify!
